Aphotic ยป Devlog
Hello!
After months of work, the Aphotic demo will soon be available
๐ You can Wishlist Aphotic on Steam to be notified when the demo is ready.
Most of the time has been spent adding content, finalizing and, above all, testing the game. The Aphotic experience has been meticulously crafted, and I can't wait to share it with you through the game's first official demo. This demo will be available on Steam, for Windows and Linux.
So before you get your first taste of textless space exploration, enjoy the brand-new official gameplay trailer :
Have fun!
Aphotic

Can't wait to play it!
I like the trailer, but something magic that was in the first 30 seconds of the old demo on itch is missing. That moment when you first slide out of the chamber, without music, was fantastic. Maybe add a tiny bit of that in at the start before the music and everything else kicks in?
I've learned that for a game trailer, people want to see the gameplay as quickly as possible. But for a Story and Feel trailer (which I'm sure I'll produce for the game's release), I agree that your idea would be a perfect intro!
The game still starts with this same sliding out of the cryopod intro, and I've even been able to improve it since the old prototype, as you'll be able to test out in the official game demo coming out soon!
Thanks for the feedback ;)
